Close but no cigar, as Dunedin falls to Dade County

DUNEDIN- Facing one of the top teams from south Florida in the Dade County Raiders, the Dunedin Pirates were looking to end a 2-game losing streak at home.

Despite bringing on a different offensive approach behind newly appointed offensive coordinator Eric Vitale, the Pirates still struggled to get points on the board in a 8-6 loss to the Raiders.

Vitale, who went down with a torn ACL against the Tampa Bay Thunder, entered his first game calling plays and it was a bit of a transition for him. The Pirates totaled 179 yards of offense for the game.

Quarterback/running back Nate Munson was all over the field for the game, as he passed for 19 yards, rushed for 101 and also made eight tackles on defense. Wide receiver Michael Minges made four catches for 53 yards in the loss.
