Dunedin can’t limit mistakes in 23-13 loss to Space Coast

COCOA- Dunedin (2-3) traveled just over three hours last weekend and we’re looking to pickup its first win on the field of the season. With forfeit victories over the Hollywood Browns and St. Augustine Crusaders, the Pirates seemed due.

Instead, the Pirates will have to wait another week in trying to pull off a win on the field. Dunedin’s offense stalled at times and the Pirates fell on the road 23-13 to the Space Coast Tar Heels (2-3) at Cocoa High School.

It was a tough night for Dunedin quarterback Eric Vitale, who went 5-of-18 for 55 yards and an interception. Backup quarterback Tim Dallaire stepped in and completed 6-of-11 passes for 124 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Now Dunedin will be taking on a tough Broward Bulldogs team that’s 4-1 on the season and is aiming to win its fifth game in their first season of operation. Kickoff is Saturday at Dunedin High School, 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
