UMATILLA- As the Dunedin Pirates have done the last several years, they have annually started it with a preseason game against the Lake County Storm.

2020 played no different story for the Pirates, as they traveled north to Lake County area for another preseason matchup.

The result ended up in the loss column but Dunedin was able to play all 46 players that were in attendance at the game. The Pirates lost in the final minute and fell 20-13. The Storm were the runners-up in the Universal Football League (UFL) in 2019.

Dunedin quarterback Eric Vitale had one of his better performances as a Pirate, as the former Fivay High School signal caller threw two touchdowns, one to wide receiver Alex Jennings and the other to wide receiver Andy Villamarzo.

The Pirates led for most of the game and late in the fourth quarter were up 13-12, but gave up a last minute touchdown to fall in the preseason matchup.
