Early observations at Dunedin Training Camp 2019

DUNEDIN- The Dunedin Pirates have begun its Training Camp 2019 practices under head coach Nate Barlow and the team has looked good after a couple of weekends. We take a look at a few observations as the Pirates continue fall camp.

• Wide receiver Alex Jennings is primes for a big 2019 season. The fourth-year Pirate is having a great camp and has seen growth at the receiver position. Expect Jennings to explode this upcoming FFA season.

• Defense will have some new faces all along the front seven, as Javaughn Johnson will flip over from receiver and now step in to play at the linebacker position. Former Anclote High School linebacker Kris Valley has joined the club and looks solid.

• The all important quarterback position has all eyes on second-year signal caller Eric Vitale. He had an up and down 2019 season and will look to have a good camp period. Backing him up will be Andy Villamarzo.

• Offensive line shouldn’t be a problem for Dunedin this season, as they return Roosevelt Austin (5’10, 340), Kwane Frazier (6’2, 270), Josh Parsons (5’10, 250) and they welcome newcomers Tariq Osgood (6’3, 315) and Noah Winans (6’3, 300).
