DUNEDIN, FL- The Christmas season is in full swing and the City of Dunedin had their annual Christmas Parade today. The city was full of the holiday cheer, while residents and tourists gathered along Douglas Avenue near downtown to watch the various groups who took part in the parade.

The Anclote Pirates minor league football team recently made Dunedin their home, and the organization was one of the participants in the parade. Several players and staff members walked the parade route or were in decorated vehicles, one of which was a boat decked out in their green and silver team colors. During the parade, 'players from the team handed out team cards which included team information and their 2017 regular season schedule. Players also occasionally ran football plays in the middle of the street. Luckily no passes were dropped and the late dive play was run like it was drawn up.

A few players' wives and kids even joined the festivities by tossing candy from a Pirates' decorated boat and waving to the joyous crowd.
