FORT MYERS- The Pirates’ offense already had themselves an impressive first showing when they breezed past the Polk County Rise of the FCFL 45-16.

Many expected a much closer encounter when Dunedin faced off against FFA 2.0 counterpart at Brooks Community Park this past Saturday night. The Pirates didn’t leave much doubt that the offense is very improved in head coach Nate Barlow’s second season at the helm.

Dunedin quarterback Tim Dallaire threw three touchdowns and guided the Pirates to a dominate 52-25 preseason victory over the Florida Stingrays.

The Stingrays won a league championship in the UFFOA in 2017, but are more in a rebuilding stage for the franchise. Nonetheless, the Pirates made sure to dominate from the start.

Running back Nate Munson scored on the game’s first play of scrimmage. Munson, Eric Vitale, Manny Higgins, Alex Jennings and Charles Tolson all scored touchdowns on the night.  Dunedin led comfortably 27-0 at halftime and played a lot of second and third string players in the second half.

The Pirates kickoff the FFA 2.0 season against the Duval Raiders on January 23rd at Childs Park in St. Petersburg, FL.
