Tarpon Springs to face Texas Colts at National Bowl Weekend

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla.- The Tarpon Springs Pirates have been invited to the National Bowl Weekend for the second time in program history.

The Pirates will face the Texas Colts in Florida Bowl XVIII at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, FL on January 15th. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. 

One familiarity when it comes to the last time Tarpon Springs was in the game is the head coach remains the same. Scott Fisk guided the Pirates to a 34-27 victory over the Hudson County Bounty Hunters at Deltona High School in 2013.

Nearly one decade later, Fisk looks to take the team to the top again against a very talented Colts’ team. The Pirates will also be back in action on January 21st in Brooksville, FL at Hernando High School when they face the Hernando County Hawks.
